The Bothy is a well-appointed self-contained unit with breathtaking views of Lake Taupo and the Tongariro National Park (view above is from The Bothy lounge).

It was built in 2005 over the boatshed, but has ground level access from the upper level of a sloping site.
It is attached to the de Lautours’ home, but is totally independent, with its own entrance, lounge, kitchenette, bedroom and bathroom. It also has a unique “loft” with ladder access which children find irresistible!

Like the de Lautours’ home, The Bothy is a smoke-free environment.

$180/night (minimum two nights) or $200 for one night's accomodation.
PLUS $20 per person above 2, maximum 6.

Includes continental breakfast provisions for first morning. Self-catering. Complimentary bottle of wine on arrival.
